Gerringong railway station, New South Wales

Gerringong Railway Station is a side platformed regional railway station in the town of Gerringong, which is located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Managed by Railcorp and run Transport for New South Wales subsidiary NSW TrainLink, the station is located on the intercity South Coast Line. The station is located on Grey Street on the edge of Gerringong village next to the Princes Highway and the southern exit road from the town.Platforms and servicesThis station is serviced by a diesel Endeavour railcar which operates services between Kiama and Bomaderry (Nowra).Gerringong Railway Station is accessed from Belinda Street as Grey Street is an unmade road and fenced off to railway access.AccessibilityGerringong station has a side platform with near street level access. It therefore has close to Easy Access for wheelchairs.UpgradesIn November 2012, the railway station underwent upgrades by Transport NSW. The work continued through to December 2012. The upgrades included enhanced lighting at the station, a new wheelchair accessible ramp and stairs, as well as the road surface being redone that surrounds the station.
